The trip was amazing overall, but there are a few areas that could use some improvement. Most of these points are from an adult perspective, as my son likely thought it was a perfect day.
**Cheaper Parking:** While the parking fees are in line with other amusement parks, they could definitely be more affordable.
**Children’s Ticket Pricing:** Why are children’s tickets the same price as adult tickets? It seems unfair, considering the limited number of rides and attractions for younger kids.
**Park Closure Areas:** A large portion of Fun Land was closed for the construction of the new Galaxy Land. The former Police/Firefighter ride was the best – it was fun, unique, and something the whole family could enjoy. But the iconic driving ride was down, which was a huge disappointment. It felt like I paid full price for only part of the park. I wouldn’t have visited if I knew that a significant section was under construction.
**Detours Around the Park:** There were a lot of detours that forced us to take long, roundabout paths to get to certain areas. This wasn’t a big deal at first, but it became frustrating, especially when you have a child who needs to use the bathroom and you’re forced to take a longer route to get there.
**Ride Capacity Issues:** Many of the rides seemed to have empty seats, even though there were lines. For instance, on the Splash Battle ride, it had a four-person capacity, but they only let a family of two on, leaving seats vacant.
**Entertainment Disappointment:** Last time I visited, "Everything is Awesome" played in Fun Land, and there was a mini performance every hour. Sadly, that wasn’t the case today. I’m not sure if it was just an off day, but it was a letdown.
**Ride Audio Issues:** On the Ninjago ride, the audio cut out, and we were unsure if we were even still participating in the game.
**Maintenance Needed:** I noticed some models in need of repair. For example, the 'E' on the welcome sign had sharp edges, and my son hit his head on it. The tip of the Eiffel Tower was bent, and parts of the Eye of London had broken pieces.
**Early Closing Time:** My son loved the park, but why does it close so early? I understand early closures during the week, but 5 PM on a Friday seems too soon.
**Food Highlight:** On a positive note, the Granny Apple Fries were fantastic – please don’t ever change this! I had the churros con chocolate last time, and today’s fries were just as good.
Despite these issues, we had a great time, and my son is still talking about it. With a few adjustments, it could be even better!
Extremely kid friendly, but the construction detours were not on the map or in the app, so getting around was cumbersome. The badges that they encourage kids to get were often not available or the person had runout by lunchtime. The mini town is cool and a little sad, Legos just aren't meant to live in the outdoors and a lot of this stuff seems to be in disrepair, which adults notice, but the kids don't care. Overall, great for kids and that is where you should put your expectations. $11 for a can of beer in the hotel and the park felt a bit out of proportion, but people were paying it.
