We stayed at Casa de la Colina 1 (148 Hortensias Amapas, Condo 3A) in Puerto Vallarta for a month in February 2025, booking through PALMERA VACATIONS was a huge mistake. This condominium was advertised as luxury, but what we got was a dirty, rundown, and poorly maintained unit that completely ruined our stay. The photos on their site date from many years ago.
THE NIGHTMARE BEGAN IMMEDIATELY UPON ARRIVAL:
• DISGUSTINGLY FILTHY: The condominium was filthy when we arrived; floors, kitchen, and bathrooms all needed serious cleaning.
• BROKEN & NON-FUNCTIONAL APPLIANCES: The BBQ did not work, the A/C in the living areas are broken, and the microwave (with fan) did not heat.
• OLD, WORN-OUT FURNITURE & BEDDING: The furniture was old, stained, and nothing like the photos. The premium bedding was a joke; thin, stained, and worn-out sheets, a rock-hard mattress, and old, flat pillows.
• DIRTY & DAMAGED KITCHENWARE: The cookware, dishes, and utensils were dirty, mismatched, and barely usable.
• THE BUILDING IS A DISASTER: Built in 2006, but still incomplete, abandoned due to legal issues.
• POOL IS USELESS: Its in full shade all day and uninviting.
• LOCATION WARNING: The building sits on a steep hill, making walking exhausting. You absolutely need a car to stay here.
• CONDO 2A has a dog that backs all day, which is very unpleasant.
FALSE ADVERTISING & AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE
This condominium is far is far from luxury. It took two weeks to get some issues resolved. Palmera Vacations refused to compensate us for the nightmare they put us through.
